This Oak-tober, learn to identify, monitor, and manage oak pests and diseases such as two-lined chestnut borer, bur oak blight, oak wilt and more. (In person/online)
'Oak-tober' is a month-long celebration of all things oak-related in Illinois. Oaks are a critical part of our natural heritage but have been under attack lately. Join Illinois Forest Pest Outreach Coordinator Tricia Bethke for a discussion on how to identify, monitor, and manage threatening and non-threatening oak pests and diseases such as two-lined chestnut borer, bur oak blight, oak wilt and other potential threats to oak trees.
The public is invited to the monthly meetings of the Lake-to-Prairie chapter of the Wild Ones, a national not-for-profit organization that promotes the use of native plants in landscapes.
Registration is required.
You may attend this program in person at the library, or may attend virtually/online.
To register, select either "Register to Attend Online" or "Register to Attend In Person." Online attendees MUST provide a valid e-mail address.
