Resident of the Library District since 1998.
I have been a fan of the library for years and really value all the services it provides. As an avid reader, I can appreciate how important access to books can be for many people. I want to help ensure all the great services of the Fremont Public Library continue while we remain fiscally responsible for our patrons.
My education includes an undergraduate Marketing degree from Notre Dame and an MBA from DePaul. As the Director of the Holiday Division for the Bradford Group, I led a team of talented creative, marketing and advertising professionals, as well as managed the financial performance and success of the division. With this experience, I am well versed in motivating teams and promoting cooperation among groups. I am also skilled in overseeing budgets and financial reporting.
I've had the privilege of serving on the library board of trustees for four years, the last two as president. I am proud of what we've accomplished so far. We had the important task of hiring a new director for the library. We also added a functioning drive through window and finished a complete remodel of the facility. These were all done within budget and without additional taxpayer funds.
I see the library as an important center for all patrons of the community supplying resources and opportunities for learning. The free access to reading materials, data and technology can be critical for many people. The current welcoming staff, make it a pleasant environment for individuals and groups to gather for studying or events. I would like to see the library continue to efficiently provide these great services to the growing Fremont community within the financial resources available.
Resident of the Fremont Library District since 1999.
I have frequently visited our wonderful library over the years with and without my now young adult children, whether it’s to check out books, videos and Rokus, attend youth and adult programs, use the meeting rooms or work quietly. With a lifelong passion for reading and a deep appreciation for our community, I am interested in supporting Fremont Library in continuing to be a vibrant and inclusive space for everyone.
With nearly 30 years in IT, I bring extensive experience to my role as a consultant. I excel at being persuasive and level-headed, effectively training non-technical individuals on our products. As a 13-year member of Toastmasters International, I have held various leadership roles, including a district-level position, and achieved the Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) award, the highest honor in the organization.
I served as Secretary of the District 75 PTO Board for 5 years and was a cub scout den leader for 5 years. I founded a Toastmasters club in Mundelein, active from 2019-2024. Additionally, I have been actively involved in the community, volunteering for all my children's activities.
Fremont Library plays a crucial role by providing free access to information (books, internet, resources) and fostering community through events and workshops. It offers technology to those without home access and serves as a safe space for all ages. The library is a one-stop shop for community needs, promoting a sense of belonging and support now and in the future.
Resident of the Fremont Library District since 1999.

Expanding the libraries outreach, collaborating and leveraging with other local government agencies, having a dedicated, fresh and inviting children's department with appropriate materials, availability of high speed computers and other current technologies for public use, distinct zones within the library for different purposes, a full range of youth, tween, teen and adult programming, and maintaining a welcoming, positive and inclusive library atmosphere.

I am passionate about serving on the Library Board because I believe libraries are vital to our communities. They provide access to information, foster lifelong learning and create welcoming spaces for people of all ages. During my time on the Fremont Library board, I have been proud to contribute to projects that enhance the library and improve the experiences for patrons. Fremont Library is one of our community’s greatest assets, and I am committed to ensuring it remains a valuable resource.
I bring over 30 yrs of strategic planning, financial analysis and decision makes through my role as Director of Market Strategy at Walgreens. These skills translate well to board responsibilities, partially in overseeing budgets, evaluating projects and contributing to long-term planning. I have served on the Library Board since 2020, holding positions as Treasurer and VP. During my term, I have been involved in key initiatives, including the library remodel and hiring of a new Library Director.
In addition to my service on the Board, I am also a board member of the Sylvan Lake Improvement Association where I contribute to initiatives to enhance the neighborhood. Previously, I served on the Mundelein Economic Development Commission from 2014 – 2021 where I worked on projects aimed at fostering local business growth. These experiences have given me valuable insight into government, community engagement and decision making which I continue to apply to my role on the library board.
Fremont Public Library serves as a vital hub for the community, offering access to information, educational material, entertainment, and technology. It provides a welcoming space for learning and connections through its diverse programming, friendly environment, knowledgeable staff and abundant resources. Looking ahead, Fremont Library can continue to be a cornerstone of the community by evolving with the future needs of the community, while preserving its role as a center for knowledge.
