The public is invited to the monthly meetings of the Lake-to-Prairie chapter of the Wild Ones, a national not-for-profit organization that promotes the use of native plants in landscapes.
Orchids of Illinois
Did you know that Illinois is home to over 50 species of native orchids? Almost half of them grow (or have grown) in Lake County! Natural science illustrator Kathleen Garness will take us on a virtual tour of our lovely native orchids, talk about their habitats, and how we can be partners in their care and preservation.
