Calling all casual viewers and cinephiles! Come talk about excellent movies at Fremont’s new film club, You Had Me at Film Club. Each month, we’ll discuss classic and contemporary films while enjoying sweet treats, provided by the Library. No deep film knowledge required, just a love for good movies and good company. Please join us!
This month’s movie: Moonlight
Plot: A timeless story of human connection and self-discovery, Moonlight chronicles the life of a young black man from childhood to adulthood as he struggles to find his place in the world while growing up in a rough neighborhood of Miami. At once a vital portrait of contemporary African-American life and an intensely personal and poetic meditation on identity, family, friendship, and love, Moonlight is a groundbreaking piece of cinema that reverberates with deep compassion and universal truths.
Pick up your copy of the DVD at the Help Desk on the first floor! If you would like to watch it online, chat with a librarian at any of the Help Desks to find where it's currently streaming.
