Join Nancy McCully as she describes the Illinois & Michigan Canal, highlighting restored buildings, canal towns, the towpath, a mule-drawn boat ride, and the people involved. (In person/online)

Journey with us on the Illinois and Michigan Canal, the waterway that made Chicago what it is today. We will tour restored canal buildings, visit canal towns, hike the towpath, ride on a mule drawn canal boat, and meet the people who built and used the canal.

Registration is required. 

You may attend this program in person at the library, or may attend virtually/online.
