Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary loan (ILL) is a service that offers library cardholders the opportunity to borrow materials such as books, audiovisual items and articles from other libraries through their home library.

Fremont Library cardholders may request materials through ILL that are not owned by us or any of the libraries that share our main catalog. Requests can be placed in person at the Adult Reference desk, chat, or by calling (847) 918-3206.

This service is only available to Fremont Public Library cardholders. If your library card is not from Fremont Public Library, and you wish to reserve an item from a library outside of our library system, you will need to make your interlibrary loan request at your home library.

Fremont Public Library is willing to loan most items to other libraries upon request. We do not charge for this service.
