Wi-Fi Hotspots

A Wi-Fi hotspot is a device that allows you to connect your computers and smartphones to the Internet anywhere you have 4G network coverage: at home, on the bus, in the park, or on vacation. Our hotspots are covered by Sprint's mobile network--check their coverage map to see where you can go.

The library has 10 ZTE Warp Connect hotspots (pictured above, left) acquired through TechSoup's Mobile Beacon donation program for nonprofits. Checkout is for one week and are renewable if no holds are on the device. Each hotspot can connect up to 10 devices to the internet (phones, computers, tablets, etc.). Fremont cardholders may place a hold on a hotspot using our catalog, or by calling the library at 847-918-3225.

The library also has 10 Franklin R850 hotspots (pictured above, right), also aquired through Techsoup's Mobile Beacon program. These hotspots are available on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be placed on hold. The R850 hotspots check out for one week and do not renew. Stop by or call the Reader's Service desk to see if a hotspot is available.

Hotspots must be returned in person to the Checkout desk.
