Library Trustee Elections 2027

Petition Filing

Petitions may be filed at the Library Administration Office between 9am on November 16, 2026, and 5pm on November 23, 2026, during regular business hours. Drop in.

The library will have 4 vacancies in April 2027. These are full 4-year terms. To receive a petition packet please email fplddirectors@fremontlibrary.org.

To be eligible, a candidate must:

• Be a registered voter.
• Have resided in the Library District for at least one year before filing their petition for nomination.
• Not be delinquent in paying real estate taxes or have other indebtedness to the Library District.
• Not have a conviction for any felony or infamous crime.

Petitions must include:

• At least 50 signatures from registered voters who reside within the Library District.
• A receipt from the County Clerk indicating that a Statement of Economic Interests has been filed for this office.
• Petitions may be filed during normal 9am-5pm administration hours between Monday, Nov. 16, at 9am and Monday, Nov. 23, 2026, at 5pm
  at the Library’s Administration Offices.
