Somme Preserves are an ecological community treasure. Learn how a collaborative effort between volunteers and the Cook County Forest Preserve transformed degraded land into highly biodiverse tallgrass prairie, oak savanna, and woodland ecosystems. Speaker: Christos Economou 

The public is invited to the monthly meetings of the Lake-to-Prairie chapter of the Wild Ones, a national not-for-profit organization that promotes the use of native plants in landscapes.
