The library is currently not taking on new volunteers. If you wish to work with books, please consider joining the Friends & Foundation, who work together to sort and price the library's withdrawn materials to sell them in the Book Nook. For more information, please call the Friends at 847-918-3247 and leave a message with your contact information.
Current volunteers can click on the button below to log in to the Volunteer Information Center to sign up for openings in their assignment areas.
Adult volunteers must be at least 18 years old or have graduated from high school. Teen Volunteers should check the information on the Teen page.
The average volunteer works about one 2-hour shift per week; depending on the job assignment a background check may be run, especially for any jobs that interact with patrons or have access to restricted areas.
You do not need to be a Fremont cardholder to volunteer.
Please note: The library is not able to supervise those looking to complete their court-ordered community service.
