Payments accepted by credit/debit card only. Fee is $9.50 plus the cost of the sticker.
Visit the Checkout Desk on the 1st floor of the Library to renew your Illinois License Plates!
This service issues stickers only. The Library cannot issue new or replacement license plates.
A valid credit or debit card and your license plate number and address.
If you have a renewal email or previous registration card that provides your registration ID and PIN, we can use that as well, but it's not required.
Offers discounted plates for seniors or other qualified individuals. You can apply online or visit our AgeGuide ADRN at the library on Wednesday mornings.
Each application gives you 2 discounted renewals. If you only used one, you may have one left. If you have discounted plates left on your account from last year, the system will show your discounted rate.
